Verbs حَكَى and قال can be used interchangeably, so both verbs can mean say/speak/tell.

Negation

To negate the verb to say in Levantine Arabic you need to add ما before the verb.

Examples: I don’t tell – ما بَقول , She didn’t tell – ما قالَت , They will not tell – ما رَح يِقولوا
